A misconception in the world of car care is that the more product applied, the better it works. But Autoglym has just released an innovative bit of kit called the Perfect Palm Applicator, which ensures you only use the amount of product you require, cutting unnecessary waste and saving money.

The hand-shaped device uses a grip system that clings to your fingers and is said to fit 95 per cent of the world’s population. This means that you don’t have to hold on to it, leaving you to exert all of your effort on cleaning rather than gripping a cloth.

The flat surface is flexible enough to bend over edges, while the pointed end lets you get into corners. There are two versions available – a red one with a foam padding which is ideal for use with the company’s waxes and polishes, and a blue microfiber applicator for glass, rubber and vinyl. They can be rinsed out between use and are suitable for both left and right-handers.
